Vacation!

We had an awesome family vacation in Myrtle Beach. It was my parents, Marilou, Brendan, and us in a 2 bedroom condo. Unfortunately, my brother and his family were unable to make it. We were there for a week, and it went by way too fast! It was alot of fun in the sun, relaxing, outlet shopping, and eating. The temperatures were in the mid-80's most of the week, so it made it very nice. There were times when it was breezy and you got out of the pool, and you were a little chilly!

Both babies were troopers and seemed to enjoy the pools, beach, and being out in the sun. Trying to make sure they got good sleep, we got creative with where we put them. Cecilia slept in the bathroom attached to our bedroom (it was huge!), and Brendan slept in the closet of the other bedroom. All in all, I think they both slept very well. The resort where we stayed was perfect! It had the best pool/kids' area we've every seen. It had two big pools, a big lazy river, a good sized regular baby pool, and then a huge splash cove! The splash cove was like a pool, but the water was only 9 inches deep, and it had all sorts of slides and other fun water equipment making it a hit from babies up to adults! We split most of our time between the lazy river and the splash cove. The splash cove did not open until 10:30; the babies were usually down for their morning nap at that time, so Christian and my dad would make sure to get all ready, watch the clock, and head out around 10:15 to get in line to get "our spot." It was like this huge event every morning. It was very nice though b/c they would get a table under a little hut like thing that also had several lounge chairs right outside it. So we had sun and shade with everyone together. There were only 5 of those hut things, and there were several entrances, so they would split up to optimize their odds of being one of the first 5 people. It was very comical for us. Then they would hang out and smoke cigars and until get made it out there!
