Baby Obsessed!

No not me, Cecilia! She has been into babies for the last several months, but now she is REALLY getting into them. She often wants them to sit with her in the spare highchair and will want me to give the baby food too. When Cecilia is finished eating, she will go over to the baby and "feed" her the food, but then will end up putting it in her own mouth. It is so cute because she will look up at me when she does it with a big smile and giggle, like she is doing something she shouldn't. She also puts baby on the changing table to change her diaper; Cecilia does not even come close to reaching the baby on the table, so usually baby just gets flung up there and lays there for a few minutes before Cecilia gets her down. Baby also goes "night night" in Cecilia's crib and the pack-n-play set up for Elise. Cecilia will toss her in the bed, turn on the music, close the door, and come out and tell us "Baby night night, shhhhh." Baby also always has to go "night night" face down; if you turn her over, she will say "No, baby night night" and will turn her back.

Unfortunately, Cecilia ended up with another double ear infection since my last post, so she was put on another antibiotic, and had to go back for a follow up a couple days to make sure they were gone. They were, but she had a significant amount of fluid left, which is normal for some children, but it puts her at a higher risk for another one. We think this might be why we can't seem to get rid of them. And of course her nose starting running this week, which usually always means another infection is on the way!:(

On a bright note, she can now count to nine! - when she wants. I think we have exhausted her on counting. We were so excited when she started doing it that we did it ALL the time. Now when we start she says, "No" and shakes her at us, like enough enough! We'll lay off a bit and come back to it soon! We had another exciting moment earlier this week. I was reading one of her letter books with her and when we came to B I asked her what B stood for. We have taught her that B is for Brady. Well, her answer was "Bess" (what she calls my mom). She had spent some time recently with my parents, so I assumed my mom had jokingly tried to teach her B is for Bess instead of Brady. So I called her right away to give her a hard time about it, and it turns out that my mom did not teach her that. She came up with it all on her own!
