Cecilia's First Easter!

Sorry I haven't posted in a couple of weeks; several people have gotten on me for it. We've been busy and enjoying off and on spring weather. I started watching another baby girl two days a week, so I now have Brendan, Cecilia, and the new baby on Monday's. Yes, that makes three babies under one year of age! The new baby and Cecilia and Tuesday's, and then Brendan and Cecilia on Thursday's. Wednesday's and Friday's we are usually busy trying to clean house, catch up on laundry, run errands, etc...

We also have several projects on the agenda. We are in the middle of re-doing some of our landscaping; we are just waiting for the next free weekend with good weather to finish. The next big project will be cleaning and staining our deck and fence. We want to finish it before it gets too hot.

Cecilia is continuing to do well. We have started the referral process with First Steps, but we are still waiting for her to be evaluated to determine if she needs services. I have talked with several people very familiar with the program, and they absolutely love it and highly recommend it. She did have an x-ray of her hips a couple weeks ago, and that came back fine, which is good. She has also shown some progress in crawling and floor play, but she would prefer to spend her time standing up. She wants to stand up ALL the time. If she gets fussy, just stand her up somewhere, and she will be fine!

Today is her first Easter. She woke up, ate, got a bath, played for a few, and then got a quick catnap before we had to wake her up for church. After church we had a nice turkey dinner (really lunch) at my parents'. Then we went to my aunt's house to visit with her family for a while. Cecilia had not slept much all day, so we left a little early to get her home, and she was sound asleep in the car before we even got our of their neighborhood!

Since it has been a few since I have posted, I have lots of pics to share:

Sitting with Elijah during a visit from John and his family.

Alexandra feeding Cecilia.

Going on a walk in a double stroller for the first time.

It was an interesting walk. The stroller doesn't have shoulder straps
or a divider between the kids, so they end up all over the place!
My lousy steering didn't help!

Brendan really enjoyed it even though it doesn't look like it in the picture.
Cecilia decided to kick back and relax for most of the walk.

In our front yard on a beautiful, but still a little cool, day.

We took a day trip to northern KY to visit Chase.

She had broccoli as a finger food for the first time,
and the little florets ended up ALL over the place!

Sitting in the side yard while we work on the landscaping.

Just a sweet picture in her high chair.
Easter morning after her bath showing off her curls!
This is how it looks now before I comb it; we think it will
only be a matter of time before the curls really show up.

In the yard on Easter!

Her darling monogrammed bloomers.
