Trying to get away

Our little girl is getting bigger and bigger and less "baby" like with every day. She has just started this week not enjoying her diaper changes near as much. She used to love to hang out on her changing table while we changed and dressed her; it was one of the many special times we had together. She now will frequently fuss when we lay her down to change her and will spend much of the time while we change her squirming trying to reach reach stuff above her. From what I have seen and heard from other parents is that this is only going to get worse. Initially, we could usually distract her with a hanger that is usually nearby, but the last couple days she has been less than impressed. What she does is push up with her legs raising her hips in the air and then reaches out with her arms over her head. The other night I got her ready for bed on the living room floor, and here is a picture of what happened:

She started off in between my legs!

We also had a very nice Valentine's Day. Last year, Valentine's Day was the day we found out Cecilia was a girl. Both Christian and I took the day off work, had breakfast at IHOP (one of our favorites), went to my doc appt, and then spent the rest of the day registering and shopping for our little girl! So we decided to make it a tradition this year to go to IHOP for breakfast; however this year with Valentine's Day on a Saturday, IHOP was MUCH busier.

Last week, Cecilia and I also took a road trip to Lexington for the day to visit with O'Dwyers. We nice a day running a few errands and hanging out. Time just flew by, and we made it back home to have dinner with Daddy.

Cecilia is not much of a roller; she can roll both ways very easily, but she doesn't do it much. She also doesn't move much in her sleep. She will sometimes move all around while she is settling down to fall asleep, but once she is asleep, she usually stays in the same position. In the morning, she is always exactly how she was when we went to bed. One day last week, I found her on her tummy after a nap, and she thought it was the funniest thing!

I now watch Brendan on Mondays and Thursdays, so I have even more opportunities to get pics of them together. Last week was the March of Dimes Kickoff for the March for Babies, so I got both of them ready (as well as myself) for the big night. Getting ready and out the door for an event is hard enough with one baby (timing the naps, feedings, getting dressed, bags packed, etc...), so adding another was quite interesting! Here are some pics of the two of them in their somewhat matching outfits. Cecilia was quite excited, so it was very difficult to get her to sit still!
