Painting pumpkins

The girls and I tried to take advantage of the nice weather we had last week as much as possible.  We were outside quite a bit everyday.  The girls each picked out a pie pumpkin at the store last week, so I thought it would be fun to paint them.  They both really enjoyed it although Lily lasted about her usual 5 minutes.  And for future reference, I now know not to use washable tempera paint to paint pumpkin.  What did not flake right off after they dried, washed right off!  Oh well, we know to use acrylic next time!
