Her second night in the hospital, she started only wanting to sleep while being held. It was weird because she would be content to sleep by herself in her crib during the day. These episodes would last anywhere from 3-6 hours a night. So my nights were full of holding her, getting her to sleep, laying her down, her sleeping 5-20 minutes on her own, her starting to fuss, me trying to get her back to sleep without picking her up, that not working, picking her up, getting her to sleep, laying her back down, etc....When she was about 5 weeks old, I started reading Happiest Baby on the Block (which I was about to start before I went into labor!). That book in combination with being diagnosed with and starting medication for silent reflux saved us! She has been sleeping on her own, only getting up at night to eat ever since!
Her social calendar was also very busy this month. She went on a several shopping trips with us starting on the way home from the hospital to get some essentials that included preemie clothes and preemie diapers! She also attended her own baby shower, attended a family reunion at Churchill Downs, had her first professional photo session, went to my aunt and uncle's river house for 4th of July, had tons of family and friends visiting at the house, etc...
A visit her cousin "once removed," Chase.
With her paci that was as big as her face!
