Lily has definitely taught me why many parents don't always re-dress their kids after diaper changes, why diapers are sometimes put on crooked, why babies sometimes don't have socks on when it is freezing cold outside, why you find old food in babies hair/behind their ears! She is so busy and does not sit still! Diaper changes/dressing have become a huge challenge again. She is often literally standing on her head for parts of it!
Other than being so active, she is still a pretty good baby. She is very happy and loves people. She definitely has her moments where she just wants mommy, but other than that, she loves people and especially other babies. She is also really starting to like music and will bounce and get so happy when she hears it! She is learning what not to touch, but that often doesn't stop her from doing it. She loves to play with the monitor and noise machine in her room. I will hear the cords swinging all around and walk in and fuss at her, and she will startle, and then just look at me and smile a mischievous smile. She also now loves the heater in her room, and IF she ever makes it into Cecilia's room she heads straight for her CD player. She also still likes to be held quite a bit, which makes it hard to do things, but fortunately, with her being so little, it makes it fairly easy.
We have finally (after 10 months!) gotten on a pretty good routine the last week or so. I have stretched out her feedings to every 4 hours, and she has been waking around 7. So she eats 7,11, 3, 7, and then once during the night. It is a pain that she is still getting up at night, BUT with her being so little, I don't think the extra calories are a bad idea. And since she is so busy during the day, she often does not have great feedings. Her mid-night feeding is usually her best one of the day bc she is so tired. She takes two naps a day - one around 9, and the other around 1, and then bedtime at 7ish. And she eats three meals a day - usually around 8, 12, and 5:30.
She is still in size 2 diapers and mostly 6-9 M clothes, but yes, she can still wear some 3-6M!
go up her whole leg. They are to make diaper changes easier!
I think we may be using them alot this winter!
for her first Halloween.
