A morning at Waterfront

Last week, my sister had the idea to spend the morning down at Waterfront Park. Apparently, there was an old battleship down there for viewing/touring, as well as some other military vehicles. So we went with her, Brendan, and my dad. It was another beautiful day. We walked through the park to get to the ship, stopped at some tanks along the way, and then played at a playground on the way back. The kids had a great time!

We actually saw this ship last summer sailing down the Ohio! We looked out the window with shock to see such a ship since we usually just see barges and ski boats! We went for a boat ride a bit later and found it still moving along up river! It is from Evansville, IN and was on its way to Pittsburgh then. It was one of 2000 ships made like that, and it is the only one left!
