Cecilia had her first "friend" birthday party on Saturday. It was for Avery from school. It was at All About Kids, which is an indoor sports complex, and only her classmates were invited. The kids had been on spring break all week, so they were so excited to see each other, and it was fun watching them all interact and to get a chance to visit with the parents. The party was specifically a gymnastics party, so since I did gymnastics as a child, I was very excited/curious to see how Cecilia did. Well, let me just say, "She was a natural!" She just jumped right in, wanted to be first on everything (which was supposed to be the birthday girl), and wanted to do it over and over again. Alot of the kids would lose interest on the specific skill, but not her, she'd do it over and over and over again. The other parents were very surprised she had not taken any kind of class before bc she was so good. She had a blast! Then for the birthday cake, they had fancy/gourmet cupcakes! The icing was taller than the cupcake itself, and Cecilia ate most of the whole thing! She talked about the party all weekend, and told us Sunday that she wanted to do "gin-nastics" again. She also talked alot about her pink cupcake with "beautiful" white on top. Beautiful has been her favorite adjective lately (she watched me put my contacts in the other morning and told me they looked beautiful in my eyes).

Taking a turn on the trapeze. She did this without
any hesitation. I was very surprised!
Only a couple kids even did it at all!

Perfect pike and toes pointed and all!
Look at that smile!

Anxiously awaiting another turn.

Bouncing/running down a trampoline runway.
Then jumping into a pit.

Talking to one of her bff's, Katie, while waiting to go again.

Walking across a beam.

Jumping on a trampoline. She was in the downward
part of a jump - look at how long her hair is
from the curl being pulled down. Pulled all the way
down, it is a few inches from her waist!

There were also bouncies there. She could not get herself up
and over to go down the slide, so she ended up sliding down
and hitting each of those handles - ouch!
Left a nice mark on her back!

Eating a mouthful of icing!
