Zoo trips

We were very anxious to get to the zoo this year, as we did not go near as much as we'd have liked last year. I was at a critical point in my pregnancy, and being high risk for pre-term labor, I was not able to do as much as I would have liked with Cecilia. So watch out! Hopefully, we will more than make up for it this year!

We are making a good start, as we have been to the zoo twice so far. Cecilia just loves seeing all of the animals and being able to run free! She also enjoys stops at the playgrounds for little breaks between animals. So far this year the elephants and gorillas seem to be her favorite, with the tiger right behind.

We spent a LONG time at the gorilla exhibit this last Friday. You could see them inside and two places outside, and we stopped for a while at each one. At one of the ones outside, the gorilla was sitting with his back against the glass, and Cecilia was standing right next to it. It had been sitting there for a while, and then all of a sudden, it reached its arm out and hit the the glass REALLY hard, right at Cecilia's face! Everyone around jumped, including Cecilia! She looked very surprised, and then started laughing, thank goodness! Now when you ask her what the gorilla did, she will run up to a piece of furniture and smack it really hard!:)
