A several years ago, our good friends, the O'Dwyers moved to Lexington, so a few years ago, Jenna had the idea for us all to meet at Claudia Sanders (for those of you who don't live around here, she was the wife of Colonel Sanders(KFC), and it is a big country style restaurant/house between Lou and Lex. known for their fried chicken!). The first year did not happen. The Brady's made it there, but the O'Dwyers got caught in horrible traffic due to bad weather and had to turn around and go back home (I think they were only a couple miles from home and still in non-stop traffic when we arrived at the restaurant). So we tried again the next year, and the tradition began! It is something I look forward to every year now! We always try to do it in the first couple weeks of December before things get really hectic and allowing time for rescheduling if need be, so it is a great way to really get into the holiday spirit! (we went on 12/11 this year)
