Trying hard!

A popular question over the the last several months has been "Will Lily be walking by her birthday?" When she was crawling by 7/8 months, I thought for sure she'd be walking by her birthday. But as the months went on, I was not so sure. And then a couple weeks ago, she took her "first" step. Many people thought then she'd be walking by her birthday, but I was still not convinced.

Well, she has been practicing walking like it is her job the last few days! Saturday, she made it about 5 feet once, and then yesterday she made it 8-10 feet several times. Today, I saw her walking about from toy to toy all on her own with no "encouraging." So at this pace, she may just be walking by her birthday (which is THIS Sunday - wow!). And my definition of "walking" is when they start to use that as their primary means to get around - not just taking steps here and there.
